A passionate creative at heart, Tanya Boyes has spent her career honing her eye for detail, balance, and beauty. For over 20 years, she worked as a hairstylist in both Toowoomba and Pittsworth, cultivating a refined aesthetic sensibility and a deep appreciation for the transformative power of design. Her love for visual harmony led her to study interior design, enriching her understanding of space, colour, and composition. This journey naturally evolved into her artistic practice, where she continues to explore these elements in new and expressive ways. Two and a half years ago, she relocated to Dalby, Queensland, and now creates from her home that she shares with her husband, three children, and their energetic border collie. The flexibility of her artistic life is something she deeply treasures—it allows her to be fully present where it matters most: in her children’s lives and in the community, through volunteering at school and the children's sporting clubs.
Often drawing influence from the muted and limited colour palettes found in modern interior design, Tanya is forever inspired by the natural world around her in rural Queensland.
