Associated Galleries

The RME Downlands Art Exhibition has enjoyed collaborating with several galleries around SEQ and beyond to bring our audience the most significant exhibition of quality fine art.

It has been our pleasure to hang the works of local artists with those of more established and often highly lauded creators. With the onset of COVID19 restrictions, we will endeavour to continue these collaborations by offering a blog space, social media support and direct links to these wonderful art houses that have supported us in the past.

Our longest running continual association has been with Art on Cairncross in Maleny. Jane and Tony have been hand-delivering a huge collection of work to Downlands each year since 2007. It has been our pleasure to find new homes for so many exquisite items from their stable of regular artists. (We even borrowed Rex Backhaus-Smith as our feature artist in 2018). We wish them all the best in their retirement from the Gallery scene.

Others including Tiffany Jones Fine Art Gallery and Lethbridge Gallery regularly offer consignments as market conditions suit, while Plexus Gallery is now offering the pop-up experience all over Brisbane and nowhere in Toowoomba.

Maleny Art Direct and “Aspire Gallery” Paddington have helped us embellish our catalogue with wonderful works in recent times.

This year we are collaborating with a new Brisbane, Pop-Up Gallery initiative “Plexus Gallery”.  These contemporary Artists are working with our curator to create their own experience within the RME Downlands Exhibition.

We also have a great selection of Investment oriented indigenous works from Red Sands Gallery in Red Hill

Say “Hi from Downlands” if you visit any of these oustanding galleries!
