The concept of time, according to Indigenous culture, is cyclical rather than linear, shifting within the cycles of the sun, moon, and stars. The relationship between short time, medium time, and long time is perceived in a circular manner, where the past, present, and future are all interconnected. Based on this concept, the vessels represent the past, the present, and the future that exist within the current time. Appreciating the notion of identity as one of concurrence, we are, at any given moment, the past, the present, and the future.
