This painting is a self portrait of sorts. I drew it in the 'blind contour' style where I traced my face with one hand and with my eyes closed made the same movements with a pen in my other hand. The portrait is done with one continuous line. This creates a new and unexpected face each time with endless possibilities for images, yet they are all my face. I used an earthy palette of blues, oranges and yellows to try and create textures and a cohesive whole.
