Artist’s Statement
I find the creaminess and viscosity of pastels captures the bright and true colour of the composition and makes an easy mark on the paper to show detail. Using coloured paper highlights the brighter colours and whites. I have attended 3 x McGregor art schools where I have learnt preparation of works and new techniques and am influenced by the light capturing works of the early Australian Impressionists and Tonalist's as I strive to find my own style .
