Artist’s Statement
I enjoy watercolours for their luminous glow and unpredictability and feel my use of strong colour makes my work unique. More recently I have ventured into the world of mixed media and am enjoying the variety this offers. My main subjects of interest are still life/interiors and animals. I have won many prizes including first prize in the Watercolour society of Queensland’s annual exhibition 2016.
Biography
Natasha was born in New Zealand and came to Queensland in 1999. She began her love of art as a small child and can’t remember a time when she didn’t paint or draw. She also grew up around clay with her mother being a professional sculptor.
After formal training in a variety of painting mediums her expertise lies in watercolour painting. More recently she has ventured into the world of mixed media and is enjoying the variety this offers. She enjoys watercolours for their luminous glow and unpredictability and feels her use of strong colour makes her work unique.
