Metka Skrobar

  • Artist’s Statement

As an artist, the unsurpassable diversity of the Australian landscape has always intrigued and inspired me. Prompting numerous travels to study and explore the remote outback regions of Australia, which reflects my experiences. Land and aerial expeditions revealed opportunities to discover the true nature of remote Australian territory through the intensity of textures, colours and habitat. Translating the diverse repertoire on to canvas, I employ a combination of media.
