Artist’s Statement
Justine believes that every place carries a story, emotion, and feeling, and she strives to capture these elements in her paintings. Using thick, buttery oil paints applied with a palette knife, she creates textured works that invite viewers to recall personal memories of places they’ve been or feelings they’ve experienced. Through her art, she hopes you can sense the love and joy she feels during the creative process.
Biography
Justine Bartie, an emerging artist from the Gold Coast, Australia, draws inspiration from her extensive travels across New Zealand, the USA, Canada, and Australia. She has exhibited her art in several galleries, QLD, where she continues to grow her artistic career. More recently in 2024, she exhibited across Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne at the Affordable Art Fair under Aspire Gallery.

Justine’s paintings are influenced from her time spent traveling through New Zealand, Australia, America and Canada. These beautiful places and memories are what inspire her to capture a sense of freedom, wonderment and light in her paintings.The inspiration for her current collection comes from the gorgeous colour palette of the Gold Coast beaches and hinterland.
