  • Artist’s Statement

At present I consider myself as a multi medium artist, allowing me to move around different techniques and styles and see my art as an extension of not just ideas I want to communicate but of enjoying a process along the way. The inclusion in my local diverse art group supports this by offering workshops in many mediums and through it’s network of experienced artists. It is important for me to continue to experiment and when that moment of creating something unique happens, enjoy it. I am passionate about the Australian environment and take every opportunity to use materials and stories from it. As an experienced Textile and Mixed media artist of 25 years, beginning as an Art teacher majoring in Textiles it was easy to utilize Eco-printing (from local flora), Free-motion applique, drawing and painting mediums to highlight the importance of our impact on our natural environment

Later joining various textile art groups (Qld Quilters, art group, BTAG) textile retreats and workshops su
