Biography
I left primary teaching in 1995 and by 1999 was an art student at SQIT, which was a truly inspiring few years. I was then accepted by USQ. into the undergraduate degree. While studying I became a demonstrator for the textile department. I gained a B.Vis.Arts((with distinction). I continued with my academic journey and gained an Honours adjunct to my name, majoring in Painting and TextilesDuring this time I tutored at USQ. as well as continuing to demonstrate. After graduation, I was employed as a teacher at SQIT. I was seriously thinking about retiring when I took up a position as an Art teacher at the Correctional centre outside Gatton. A serious accident (car) ended my work there after 2 years. Since then I have been practising art in one form or another and hope to continue to enjoy this for a good few years to come.
