  • Artist’s Statement

My creative process is to start an artwork, doubt myself, then kick home strong bringing it all together into an artwork I’m generally satisfied with. Knowing when to stop is a real trick I’m starting to get the knack of. I'm trying to push myself currently to loosen up and use a diverse range techniques. Experiment to represent this wonderful place we live in.

  • Biography

I’ve been creating and loving art since high school and probably ever since I was a little fella. I always loved a good colouring book! I’m based in Brisbane and mainly use charcoal, pastels and pencils to create my drawings. Although I would love to get out there and experiment with other mediums. I’m self-taught and just love the peace of creating a work. Losing yourself and time while creating art is one of the most pleasurable and relaxing activities in my life. I do all this when I’m not distracted working as a graphic designer and spending time with my family.

  • Influences

I’m obsessed with the natural world and humanity. It’s where I draw my inspiration. We live in such a beautiful and wonderful world I walk around just dumbfounded by its beauty sometimes. I am constantly analysing the way light hits people and objects to create highlights and shadows. I also love to sit and observe human nature. The way people look and interact. It’s perpetually fascinating to me.
