  • Artist’s Statement

I am known for my extreme colour pop. I prefer to paint on large canvases with impasto oils using large palette knives.
I love to paint large portraits of birds and animals, capturing their individuality and often humorous expressions.

She spent her childhood painting alongside her mother, Diane Elsden at her childhood home, "Tosari", Tummaville on the Darling Downs. She won a Chronicle Junior Art Award in Primary School. She boarded at St Ursula's College, Toowoomba for High School and received a Scholarship to Bond University where she graduated in Law and Film and Television.

  • Influences

Painting alongside my mother Diane Elsden in her studio from an early age. She encouraged me to paint to find my own way of expressing favourite subjects. We both love painting with watercolours, especially when travelling. Our studio work is often chaotic - big canvases, big brushes and lots of paint!
