Biography

Euan Macleod is a New Zealand-born, Sydney-based contemporary painter renowned for expressive, textured landscapes often inhabited by solitary, symbolic figures. He has exhibited extensively across Australasia and internationally.

Winner of major Australian art prizes including the Archibald (1999), Sulman (2001), Blake (2006), and Dobell Drawing Prize (2021), his work is held in collections such as Te Papa Tongarewa, the National Gallery of Australia, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
