Sharon often uses line and wash techniques. Her style leans into an organic, fresh approach to contemporary watercolour. Inspired by her travels, the beauty of nature and the vibrancy of the urban world, telling a story through an urban sketching lens.
Biography
Sharon Ross is an emerging Queensland watercolour artist, her creative studio, under the brand Artistia Designs, is based in Pittsworth, Queensland. Stepping away from the corporate world, Sharon's artistic journey has been in watercolour painting.
Influences
With a distinct urban sketching influence, Sharon's art is heavily inspired by the natural world and the built environment.
Awards
Sharon was a named finalist in the prestigious 2025 Doyles Art Awards competition and awarded winner of the Contemporary and Abstract art section in the Ipswich Show.
Exhibitions
Sharon's work featured in the collaborative trio exhibition 'Beyond the Brushstrokes' at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery; and participarton in the collaborative exhibition 'The Power of Three' in the Dogwood Crossing Art Gallery at Miles.
