Biography
Louis Dalozzo (b. 1947, Italy) is an Australian-based landscape painter. His lifelong interest in the natural world and his extensive travels around the world have influenced his work. After arriving from Europe at the Villawood migrant camp in Sydney in 1968, Louis spent time traveling across the Pacific before settling in Australia, where the deserts, canyons, and rainforests of the country became central to his artistic practice. With over three decades as a professional artist, he has developed a self-directed style. His paintings, primarily in acrylic, are noted for their clear compositional structure, defined contours, and vivid depiction of the Australian landscape. Louis has exhibited in Australia and internationally, including Abu Dhabi, New Caledonia, Belgium, and Los Angeles. His work is held in corporate collections, including American Express, MLC Insurance, and Mercedes-Benz, as well as The Tattersall Club in Brisbane and numerous private collections.
