Artist Statement

With over twenty years of experience as an artist, I explore connection, memory, and a sense of place through watercolour, pencil, and acrylic painting. I am drawn to the quiet beauty found in everyday moments with loved ones, capturing the emotions and connections that often go unnoticed. My artwork explores the quiet beauty of human connection, finding meaning in the simple moments shared with those we hold closest. Through layered washes of watercolour and the gentle precision of pencil, I seek to capture the warmth, comfort, and presence of everyday interactions.

Biography

I was born in Germany and immigrated 20 years ago to Australia. With more than twenty-five years of experience as an artist and graphic designer, my creative practice has been shaped by a lifelong dedication. Drawn to the expressive qualities of watercolour and pencil, I work within the delicate space between softness and structure, intention and spontaneity.
