Sabene’s work is an exploration of colour and form, celebrating the places, objects, and moments that bring her joy. Through playful compositions and rich acrylic layers, she creates pieces that evoke a sense of wonder and connection to both natural and familiar environments.
Biography
Sabene Pollock, known as Little Swallow Art, is a Brisbane-based artist with a background in Industrial Design and over twenty years in retail. Having painted since high school, she recently transitioned to full-time art, working primarily in acrylics on canvas and British Paints sample cards. Her vibrant works span landscapes, seascapes, and still life, reflecting her love of colour, form, and the beauty of the world around her. Sabene joins Downlands under the collection of Aspire Gallery (Brisbane, Qld).
Influences
Sabene draws inspiration from the world around her—visits to favourite places, visual media, and even dreams. She thrives on the creative challenge of exhibitions and competitions, where new ideas emerge alongside the colourful, expressive style she is best known for.
