Artist Statement
Using a variety of mediums including watercolour, ink, coloured pencil and charcoal, I endevour to capture the essence of the subject.
Biography
It's interesting just how much someone's words can impact us. My highschool art teacher said my work wasn't very good - and I believed her to the point that I didn't pursue any form of art for over 30 years. In 2024, a work colleague showed me some watercolour projects she'd created and I was so inspired, I literally bought supplies on the way home. My first attempts proved my art teacher was correct, but this time I didn't give up. I attended classes and workshops in watercolour and drawing and haven't looked back. I love experimenting with different mediums and have dabbled in watercolour, charcoal, coloured pencil, acrylic, oils and pastels. My creative time serves me well and I recommend it as a great form of therapy.
