Neil Degney
Biography
Neil Degney is a visual artist based in Brisbane (Meanjin), who primarily works with photography. Neil has been an avid photographer since a young age, pursuing formal studies at Griffith University’s Queensland Camera Arts (QCA) and graduating in 1982. In addition to exhibiting as an artist, he has worked as a professional photographer and is a skilled master of photographic printing. The subject matter of his photographs is diverse, ranging from everyday life to the grand and exceptional. He has received multiple grants, and his work is proudly showcased in several private collections. He has also self-published several books of his work. Neil has exhibited locally, nationally and internationally, and continues to find inspiration in the world around him, always seeking out the extraordinary in the mundane.
