Artist Statement

I have mostly used Acrylic paints and like to paint seascapes and landscapes. I also like to include animals in my paintings to give them life.

Biography

I am a mainly self taught artist. I have been painting since 2010. I joined the Pittsworth Art Group while working full-time. Since retirement I have rejoined this Art Group. Members have been most helpful with encouragement and support of my paintings. I was thrilled to sell one of my paintings at Downlands Art Exhibition last year.

Influences

Anything in the real world of nature and real photography that takes my fancy to paint. I try to paint unusual scenes.

Awards

First place in the Novice section at the Pittsworth Agricultural Show this year.

Exhibitions

I have exhibited in the Pittsworth gallery several times. Bell Art Exhibition and Pittsworth Show winning minor prizes. Sold a painting at Downlands Art Exhibition 2024.
