Artist Statement
Madison's art is a celebration of life’s vibrant beauty, particularly as expressed through the delicate yet powerful language of florals. Each piece she creates is a dialogue between the organic forms of nature and the structured elements of design. She works with a variety of materials, watercolor, collage, ink, and mixed media, to explore the interplay of color, texture, and form. Through her work, Madison seeks to evoke a sense of wonder and joy, inviting the viewer to experience the world with a renewed sense of curiosity and appreciation for the details that often go unnoticed.
Biography
Madison Fleur is a Brisbane-based emerging artist known for her vibrant, floral still life works across watercolour, collage, and mixed media. Since debuting in 2022 with a sold-out exhibition, she has exhibited widely across South-East Queensland and regional New South Wales, participated in all three 2024 Australian Affordable Art Fairs with Aspire Gallery, and was a finalist for the John Winn Memorial Award for Emerging Artists at the Toowoomba Grammar Art Show. Madison joins Downlands under the collection of Aspire Gallery (Brisbane, Qld).
Influences
Madison draws her greatest inspiration from the natural world, particularly the intricate details of flowers and plants. Their colors, shapes, and textures are a constant source of creativity for her. Her background in design significantly influences her artistic approach, enabling her to blend organic inspiration with a structured, experimental process.
