Rosemary Williamson
Artist Statement
I love to paint, mostly landscapes and mostly Australian. While I love the soft English landscapes, I, like Dorothea McKellar, love this sunburnt country more. I work in a variety of mediums. That's it really - no deep hidden meanings - I paint what appeals to me.
Biography
Rosemary is a self taught artist who took the scenic route through her painting life, beginning in England and finishing in Australia. In a previous life she was a registered nurse. When her sons were small she taught art at their school, loving being able to show kids who thought they couldn't draw, that in fact, as Picasso said, every child is an artist. She has attended many workshops over the years, always keen to learn new techniques. She enjoys working in most mediums and is always striving to move to the next level.
