Artist Statement

My work is a visual journey through the diverse beauty of the Australian landscape. I have observed, photographed and lived on coastal edges, lush rainforests and dusty plains under expansive skies creating a feeling of connection and belonging. Each piece captures a moment of presence- the shifting light filtering through trees, the texture of time etched into rock or the whimsy of enjoyment of drowsing on a summer day. I hope to invite viewers to slow down and see the Australian landscape with fresh eyes.

Edna has worked in a variety of media since taking up art as a hobby some years ago and still loves to try each one from time to time.
