Artist Statement

A past Downlands exhibitor, my work over the last few years I believe has branched out into a more impressionistic style...concentrating on the less is more theory. My still life works are set up from life in my studio, whilst landscapes are painted plein air.

Biography

A Toowoomba based artist, working exclusively i8n acrylics, Colleen describes herself as a lifelong passion for exploring her ideas and memories and recording on canvas and paper. After 30 odd years as a potter in Western Australia, Colleen relocated to Queensland and began painting. Colleen has exhibited widely with Redhill Gallery, Wentworth Gallery Brisbane and is now represented by Feather and Lawry Gallery .To9owoomba
