Artist Statement

My paintings are starting to really be enjoyable. I am finding I can sit in nature and take it in. Sit there with my paints and canvas and paint what I see. Not only is painting from life producing beautiful paintings – it feels so good for my soul. There are not many occasions where I would give myself permission to sit for a day and soak up the beauty of nature. Painting gives me that permission.

Biography

Art has flowed through my life in one form or another since I was young. The older I get the more important it feels. When I create work that pleases me the feeling is euphoric. I spend a lot of time chasing that feeling! I enjoy the challenge of testing my skills to see if I can capture what interests me in a way that resonates with others too.
