Jeannes’ work celebrates the natural world—its colours, textures, and quiet poetry. Working primarily in soft pastels, she is drawn to the immediacy and expressive potential of the medium. Each piece is a personal response to the beauty seen in native Australian flora and landscapes, especially the wildflowers that flourish in our unique environment.
Through Jeannes’ art, she aims to capture not just the visual essence of a subject, but the feeling it evokes—the warmth of sunlight on petals, the rhythm of leaves in the breeze, the stillness of a quiet morning. The interplay of light and colour endlessly inspires her to create works that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the natural world.
Our exhibition thrives on the dedication of committed staff and the vital support of volunteers. Their passion shines brightly during exhibition week as the public enjoys the displays. Volunteers are essential for tasks such as receiving works, hanging, demounting, hospitality, administration, and sales.
