An amazing opportunity for 2 interns has become available with the renowned Downlands Art Exhibition in Toowoomba. Attracting international, national and local artists, this exhibition offers viewers both contemporary and traditional artworks, creatively curated in a generous and imaginative format.
With over 1000 works on display in the Graham Centre at Downlands College, every year brings new surprises and interesting contrasts. 2017 marks the exhibition’s 31st year, and sees the growth of this landmark regional arts event open up the opportunity for 2 enthusiastic and committed individuals to learn the operations and administration of a major art exhibition with Curator Evan Hollis.
Two interns will be required from February 2017 for an induction to the role requirements, and assistance with initial tasks, then will be required to be available between July and September 2017 during the busiest times leading up to the exhibition.
Duties will include assistance with online promotions, website and social media management, contractor communications, data entry and management, exhibition installation, artist-liaison and other duties as required.
To register your interest for this opportunity, please email Curator Evan Hollis at HollisE@downlands.qld.edu.au with your CV, availability and cover letter addressing your enthusiasm and suitability for the role. Submissions will close January 26, 2017.
