Photography has the ability to both document reality and craft alternate realities. Elements of both approaches are present in this display of images from the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery – Toowoomba City Collection. These works explore relationships between photographer, subject and landscape that result in a feeling of unplaceable enigma. Aspects of character, composition and environmental form are highlighted as these images capture a silent drama intriguing and storied.
