My current paintings play with the notion of revealing and concealing. Like walls of graffiti and street art. Walls are fascinating. They carry stories and snippets of history. They are lumpy, textured, and painted over. They conceal layers of meaning. Vestiges of previous lives. Fragments of colour and shape-shadows reveal traces of memory. Fragments are more eloquent than the whole picture. Flashes from another life and hidden secrets become a new reality-a new painting.
