My current art practice investigates and depicts emotions and information experienced within episodic memories. Episodic Memory is the memory of autobiographical events, associated emotions, and other contextual knowledge which can be explicitly stated or conjured. It is the collection of past personal experiences that have occurred at a particular time and place. I portray these episodic memories through abstracted landscapes, geometry, symbology of colour and the deconstruction of visual stimuli into form, shape, and composition. Through using these specific techniques and methodology’s my art practice aims to reflect upon the significance emotions and environments can hold within an individual’s recollection.
