  • Artist’s Statement

For this exhibition, my artworks are based on my experiences and encounters with memorable moments from both my childhood and a recent family holiday at the beach. I have chosen mixed media with an emphasis on texture for these coastal artworks. The temptation to touch an artwork makes it all the more special.

  • Biography

Terese Eglington studied ceramics and art at high school and continued to learn various crafts as personal hobbies, including painting, wood carving and lead light. A return to painting and learning the techniques required with various art media has gone from hobby to passion. Combining a love for painting and an interest in poetry and writing, Terese has created several children’s books, the illustrations from which have been exhibited in Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.

  • Influences

Influenced by the impressionists, my art style focusses on movement, mood, colour and the play of light.
