Chinese Art is done by using only one brush. With ink, you must concentrate, and pre determine what you are going to paint. One mistake with ink painting, and you must start all over again.
Sophie Richards was born in Shanghai China where she studied textile design at the Textile University of Shanghai.
Since coming to Australia some 32 years ago she has furthered her passion for Art by involving herself in numerous advanced courses with well known artists in oil, acrylic, and ink.
For the past three years she has involved herself in Chinese Art where she has been personally mentored by Mr. Chung Ting Qian who teaches Traditional Chinese Art at his studio on the Gold Coast. He nominated Sophie as his best student.
