  • Artist’s Statement

I am an emerging artist who paints with a social conscience embracing natures marks in my work.. I paint in all medias including acrylics, inks, oils, and mixed media as I enjoy incorporating many materials into my work.
I use warm palettes like reds contrasted with cool palettes to give my art that wow factor.I enjoy exploring the connection between colour plays on the human psyche and its ability to affect our emotions.
I try to embrace the love of nature in my work ,its varied colours, and ability to affect our emotions. My art could be described as expressive abstract with a focus on colour and vibrancy and ability to affect emotions and offer hope for the future.
I enjoy dancing around the canvas creating spontaneous marks and movement.
Artists who have influenced me Monet, Landscape artists like Scott Naismith, and Abstract artists like Joan Mitchell, William de Kooning, and Betty Krause Franks.
Art to me is a reminder of our humanity , no matter how busy and chaotic our lives become we need to keep that brush moving for our mental health. I hope to encourage people to feel a connection with my work and encourage a renewed hope for a brighter future.
    That is why I paint.
