Artist’s Statement
My inner artistic inspiration started from childhood with drawing by charcoal. Then, I pursued it more sophistically in watercolour and used power of water and colour in illustrating beauties of light and colours which are laid within scenic views of nature and people. My painting subjects include but not limited to portrait, figures, landscape, still life, etc. I am associate member of International Watercolour Society, member of Watercolour Society of Queensland, and Royal Queensland Art Society and actively participate in national and internationl watercolour exhibitions.
Biography
Samaneh Mohtadi is a Brisbane based watercolour artist who exhibits nationally and internationally. She has been mentioned as an emerging artist in Sunday Mail 2019. She is representing Australia in Fabriano acquarello, Italy 2022. She has been awarded medal of mention in Geniuses Olympiart 2019 along with other national and international prizes. She found her artistic talent since her childhood and later continued watercolour painting in parallel with her university degrees as Master of Information Technology and Master of Data Science. She used the power of watercolour in illustrating beauties of light and colours which are laid within scenic views of nature, historical places, and people as they are seen through her eyes.
