
Rebecca Berrett
Biography
Rebecca Berrett has an undeniable ability to draw, most keenly seen in her botanical and animal studies. This is why her work has been sought after as illustrations for text books in different fields and why she won the ‘Best Graphite’ at the Queensland Wildlife Artist’s Society International Wildlife Exhibition in 1999 and many others since. Rebecca is an excellent calligrapher , employed by the University of Southern Queensland for years and for innumerable private commissions too. Rebecca has been published as author and illustrator of 4 different children’s books (two of which were then reprinted overseas) and as illustrator of no less than 19 books across a variety of subjects.
She has established herself as a tutor, including regular invitations to the McGregor Schools at the University of Southern Queensland, at TAFE in Toowoomba and at community programmes, youth groups and the University of the Third Age, with her teaching including book illustrating, watercolours & drawingExhibitions
