I am a watercolour artist painting in a traditional/realist style. I particularly enjoy painting landscapes, seascapes and gum trees and find inspiration in the amazing diversity and beautiful vistas of the Australian countryside.
Pauline Good commenced her painting journey in 2000 with the Gladstone Art Group. Through the Watercolour Society of Queensland Pauline has completed several courses with respected Australian artists and in 2008 she attended a residential art course in England. In 2013 she participated in an en plein air workshop through the Flinders Ranges.
Pauline has been awarded numerous awards including, first prize for a miniature painting in the Inverell Art Prize in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and second prize in 2019; second prize in the watercolour section of the Toowoomba Show in 2014 and 2017; a highly commended in the Hampton High Country Art Exhibition in 2017; the Watercolour Society Queensland Spring Exhibition 2019, the Bell Art Show 2021 and the 2021 TAS members' exhibition. My influences come from the world around me. Heading off in the early morning or late afternoon to explore and perhaps find that perfect view. The fall of light on an ordinary scene creates mood, atmosphere and beauty...but it can be very fleeting. Light can change a view entirely for just a short moment, and if I am lucky, I can capture it.
