Artist’s Statement
I particularly enjoy painting landscapes, seascapes and gum trees and find inspiration in the amazing diversity and beautiful vistas of the Australian countryside.
Biography
I have been painting in watercolour for over 20 years and paint in a traditional/realist style. I am a member of the Watercolour Society of Queensland and the Toowoomba Art Society. Over the years I have received multiple awards and commendations and exhibited widely throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
Influences
My influences come from the world around me. Heading off in the early morning or late afternoon to explore and perhaps find that perfect view. The fall of light on an ordinary scene creates mood, atmosphere and beauty...but it can be very fleeting. Light can change a view entirely for just a short moment, and if I am lucky, I can capture it.
