  • Artist’s Statement

    As a former Electrical Engineer I received formal training in Perspective drawing and I like to use this knowledge in my paintings of Town Scapes, Street scenes and marine scenes

  • Biography

    Nev received early training in Perspective drawing at school and during the Electrical Engineering course which he completed at the University of Queensland with First Class Honours and a University medal in 1956. Nev has had no formal art education, but has studied under many well known Australian artists, mainly David Taylor and Alvaro Castagnet

  • Influences

    Nev was mainly influenced by British artist Ron Ranson to take up Watercolour Painting after attending a workshop with him in England

  • Awards

    Nev has won over two hundred awards during his career. The principal ones being First Prize in Watercolour in the RNA Exhibition in Brisbane, First Prize in Watercolours in the Portland Art exhibition Victoria, First Prize in the Open Section of the Sunshine Coasr Show Society

  • Exhibitions

    Nev has many Solo Exhibitions and Exhibitions with other Artists. In 2006 he was feature Artist at the Toowoomba Grammar School Annual Art Show and in 2007 was a feature Artist Rotary Club of Portland ( Victoria ) Annual Art Show
