Painting both abstract and representational works, Lisa’s style is influenced by her interest in the colours and shapes that surround us in our immediate spaces and the wider landscapes we inhabit. Lisa’s paintings are inspired by experiences, places and objects that elicit a sensory or emotional meaning for her.
Lisa is an artist who paints in her preferred mediums of oils and acrylics. She has always been a maker of objects and began experimenting with painting after the birth of her first child when her artist mother gave her painting lessons. Although she continued to paint for the next few years, it has only been in the last few years that she has dedicated herself to continued painting tuition and regular studio practice. Based in Brisbane/Meanjin Lisa is now devoting more time to a dedicated painting practice in her home-based studio.
