Kelly Finley
Artist’s Statement
Merging emotive colour combinations, gestural brushstrokes and attentive detail, Kelly Finley's works define the beauty and allure of the Australian landscape. Frequently walking at length through the bushlands and beaches nearest her home, Kelly habitually photographs the surrounding scenes and settings in an effort to establish a connection to the locale. After producing several sketches, her works develop through a myriad of layers, that are typically created in acrylics on canvas.
