Artist’s Statement
I am a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Ipswich, Queensland. My work emcompasses printmaking, drawing and painting, through which I create visually impactful pieces. I often explore environmental themes, aiming to provoke thought and educate viewers. I find joy in the discussions my art inspires and the connections it fosters.
Biography
Katherine McNamara is an Ipswich-based multidisciplinary visual artist, working in printmaking, drawing and painting. The inspiration for her distinctive and visually striking works is often drawn from her surroundings. Katherine often explores environmental and social themes, using her art to provoke thought and inspire change. Her pieces invite viewers to engage with and reflect on the world around them.
