Jobella Bennett

Jobella Bennett

  • Biography

Jobella is a local emerging artist from the Darling Downs. Surrounded by the Kurrajong trees, koalas, hens, horses, and the majestic Wedgetail Eagle soaring in the skies above, Jobella gets her inspiration from her rural life and the magic of the natural world.

‘ Wedgetail Winds Studio’ is Jobella’s creative space up on the hilltops in Groomsville. Jobella creates a relationship with nature through a collection of distinctive wire sculptures, which are scattered throughout Australia in front yards, gardens and shop-front displays.

Using chicken wire as her medium, Jobella weaves the story of Australian rural life and connection to the land.
