  • Artist’s Statement

I believe the environment in which we were raised is central to how we see the world and live our lives.
An Australian bush upbringing has created a strong connection with and a healthy respect for Mother Nature. My close observations have provided the inspiration for my work, and informed my technique of adding and removing paint.
The semi-abstract works reflect the diversity, colours and patterns found in Australian nature. There is a sense of uncovering the layers of the landscape as I work.
