  • Biography

    My ceramic story
I enjoy working with all types of clay. I first learned the art of pouring slip into molds, but after doing a sculpture workshop at the Toowoomba USQ summer school under instructor Jana Parmerjier, i was hooked into working with my hands mostly with Raku clay .
Australian Wildlife is my passion. Making different breeds of birds and animals. I love both large and small as they are so different in statute and personality. Watching and studying their flight and habitat.
I have worked and taught art to School children at Biddeston Primary school also Greenmount PS,also going to Nursing homes at Allora and many others teaching claywork.
I also helped start a very active art group "Dabblers"in Clifton.
Since retirement l joined the Toowoomba Art Society and love our Tuesday group and the social interaction of art and exhibitions. I both paint and make small sculptures which I sell in their monthly exhibitions.
I know that buyers of my sculptures will enjoy each one as they take them home for their garden.
