In 1986, Heather achieved a significant milestone by completing her diploma in ceramics with high distinctions, laying a solid foundation for her future endeavours. During this period, while raising her two sons, she balanced her artistic pursuits with the responsibilities of motherhood and honed her skills as a production potter. This allowed Heather to channel her creativity into crafting functional and aesthetically pleasing pottery pieces, serving both practical and artistic purposes.

Today, Heather primarily works with stoneware and porcelain clays, exploring their unique properties and pushing the boundaries of her craftsmanship. She finds joy in experimenting with various techniques, such as majolica, scrafitto, and slip trailing, to create captivating designs.
