“I am committed to creating colourful glass objects through both simple and complex designs. I’m very interested in the natural environment around me, with a need to express something of the splendour that I see and the awe that I feel. I try to work with images that evoke peace and resonate with the landscape.
Gayle Shaw attained her Diploma of Art (Fine Art) in 1979 from the Brisbane College of Art. Over the years she has continued to hone her skills with glass through masterclasses and further studies. She has been commissioned to create stained glass windows and a range of different awards (e.g. Queensland Premier's Awards for Excellence). Her work has been exhibited across Australia and she has been awarded many times (e.g. Winton Outback Art show).
