Elizabeth Browne
Artist’s Statement
Elizabeth is known for her effervescent personality and this shows through in her work with vibrant colours. Music and a glass of wine are often the inspiration that lead to wild floral creations. Her passion for painting is contagious and she is enthusiastic and inclusive sharing her success. Elizabeth strives to continue to learning and sharing. Her favourite medium is pastel, but she is currently experimenting with watercolours
Biography
Elizabeth started her art story in Gosford in the 1970's prior to moving to Toowoomba. Business and family meant that painting was hard to find time for. In 2010, Elizabeth restarted with Geoff Ball at Murphy's Creek Art Studio. She has participated in many workshops throughout Australia and overseas. The real highlights were attending Albert Handell's Mentoring Program, specialising in pastels (Sedona Arizona USA), and more recently Stan Sperlack's (from New Jersey USA) pastel workshop held on the Gold Coast. "Teacher Nik" in Manilla taught watercolour.
