I have always been drawn to the arts and the freedom that comes from being creative.
The design of my first box was very traditional, but I soon began to experiment with
combining wood with sheet metal. The early designs were complex, but a trip to Italy led to simpler, more refined ideas.
David Innocente began designing and handcrafting boxes in late 2006 when looking for a jewellery box as a gift for his wife. He could not find the right piece, so he designed and made his own and quickly developed his skills and creativity to gain a reputation as a quality craftsman. Primarily using Huon pine and powder-coated metal, he has steadily encompassed a range of quality woods to great effect. Each work is individually numbered and titled.
