Colleen Helmore
Artist’s Statement
Water, colour and light define my art both in medium and subject.
Depicting the effects of light on a subject, and creating an atmosphere is the challenge when I approach an artwork. I mostly work with a limited palette of various primary colours and develop my paintings with various wet on wet washes. After a very traditional start to my art I now paint in a more impressionist style.Biography
