Artist’s Statement
Although now living within a stone's through of the beach, I have a very deep connection to Australia's bush. It is this connection which moves me to paint country life. Whether it be the countryside, old buildings or farm animals, I feel a great affinity and desire to paint.
Biography
My childhood was spent on my family property in southwest Queensland, followed by a number of years in NSW's Snowy Mountains. Two extremes! But hence the basis of my love for Australia. I began painting 2017, attending classes, and now work at my desk whenever possible.
I am married to a pilot and our love of travel has allowed us to explore much of Australia and the world. We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. For 13 years I ran my own small business in Brisbane. Taking early retirement has enabled me to spend time with family, travelling and painting.Influences
