Artist’s Statement
Through my career in farming I have always had an affinity with our country’s rural landscapes, and this has often been reflected in my painting.
Biography
Bob Nason was an early member of the Australian Flying Art School and the Glenmorgan Art Group and has been painting for over 40 years. His work is represented in many private collections and has received numerous awards. Bob has exhibited in many past Downlands Art Exhibitions.
Influences
I love going to galleries and enjoy all artwork. I’ve been influenced by and received tuition from many artists over the years including Roy Churcher, Stan Rapotec, Merv Morriarty and Bela Ivanyi.
Awards
2012- Finalist in Stanthorpe Biennial Art Award.
2017,2018,2021- Toowoomba RoyalShow - Champion painting of Show
2019 - Toowoomba Royal Show - Reserve Champion Painting of Show.
Champion/Reserve Champion or 1st placings at Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, Millmerran, Pittsworth & Surat shows over a number of years.

1984- Warroo Shire Council commission - Art work for Canberra Parliament House.

1997- Warroo Shire Council Commission -Mural for Cobb & Co Changing Station for the Aquarium
1999- 25th Year Retrospective Exhibition -Balonne Gallery Surat.
2001- Warroo Shire Council Commission - additional mural for Coach room Cobb & Co Changing Station.
2001-2004 - various Art Exhititions & Competitions at Brisbane RNA, Warwick, Winton, Roma, Goondiwindi,
Meandarra, Wallumbilla and Surat.
2011- Individual show at Millmerran Council Library.
